Nine Inch Nails Peel It Back Tour 9/19/25

I have been to so many NIN shows that I’ve lost count. This one was one of the best. My favorite will probably always be the first one I went to for the Lights in the Sky tour but this one is certainly a close number two. Such a wide variety of songs from all different eras and most of the albums.

The show began with Trent Reznor performing Right Where It Belongs and Somewhat Damaged on the piano with such emotion and passion. All building up to what normally is the final scream in Somewhat Damaged to let the audience take over then. Then to my surprise he played Ruiner in the same manner till halfway through to which the band started joining one by one. This started at a stage at the center of the venue and through different parts of the show the band would switch between the main stage and the center stage.

The visuals were absolutely stunning and were some of the best that have ever been put together for an NIN show. At one point there were also remixes performed on the center stage with Boys Noise, the DJ who opened for NIN. My favorites of these was one for Vessel and how it was performed with Trent using a vocoder and a redrum that I’m guessing was Boys Noise’s contribution, giving the song more of a club vibe like something out of Blade. The vibe was so sick. I really enjoyed this change from the rock aesthetics Trent adopted more and more the last 15 years. I enjoyed those too but this was certainly missed.

To top off a show full of light shows from the band was the end when they played Hurt and the audience lit up the stadium with the flashlights on their phones. Making a great conclusion which I suppose you can see at any show but I especially liked here because to me Hurt seemed to have the least visuals from the stage as if this was anticipated and so it felt like the fans made the finale of the light show. Like a special bond that made the whole experience elevate more than most concerts I’ve been to.
